TALKEETNA FLIGHTSEEING TOURS

Talkeetna “The Gateway to McKinley” is one of the most popular destinations to take a flightseeing tour of the 20,320 foot mountain.

There are several companies that offer flightseeing tours of Denali (Mt. McKinley), and there are a variety of trip styles which include a classic sightseeing tour around the mountain, a flight to the summit, or even a glacier landing.

Weather changes fast and often in Alaska, and sometimes clouds can obscure mountain views. Flight operators will determine if conditions are safe for flying, and if not, they will try and reschedule. Rescheduling does not work for travelers who have tight vacation schedules, so we recommend keeping the date you wish to take a flightseeing tour flexible. Or, give yourself a few days in the destination you want to take a tour just in case you get weathered out. Many say that flightseeing was the highlight of their Alaskan vacation, so you don't want to miss out.
