Hudsonian Godwit

The Hudsonian Godwit is a large shorebird that lives in some of the remotest parts of the earth. It is a mottled gray color and has a long, upturned bill that is reddish at the base and becomes darker towards the tip. The Godwit breeds before migration starts and, similar to the Whimbrel, has been known to fly several thousand miles without stopping.
