Lost Lake Trail

Difficulty

Difficult

This trail is also called the Primrose trail at the north end. It begins in a beautiful rainforest and eventually takes you up to a multiple of beautiful lakes in high meadows. Snow clad mountains are all around you, no matter what season you go. This is a scenic trail with incredible views of surrounding mountains and high alpine terrain. The trail is seven miles in one direction so be sure to pack water and always bring a first aid kit. Anglers can fish for stocked rainbow trout in the lake. Check with ADF&G for current regulations.

Get even more out of the hike by going with a local guide. Exit Glacier Guides have been guiding guests on the trails and glaciers near Seward for almost 2 decades. You'll spend 6-8 hours on the trail with them, and they'll provide a backpack, water, snacks and lunch, and trekking poles.
