The Kennecott Mill tells the remarkable story of how the mill was built and operated to bring copper out of Alaska wilderness to an America hungry for copper during the beginning of the 20th century. Rangers in the Visitor Center will play this 15-minute video on demand in a back room of the Visitor's Center. If you have the option, watch this video when you first arrive or are getting ready for a mill tour. And if you chance to not have time up front, stop by at the end of your trip because the historical perspective will make your visit that much richer. Rangers say they have yet to hear a negative comment about the video and most visitors wish there was more.
