Living room of Denali Dome Home

Enjoy the light-filled home with large windows and several communal areas

Just 12 miles from the entrance of Denali National Park, this family-operated, one-of-a-kind B&B features a geodesic dome, 10 acres of wilderness and lawns, and a private, paved driveway and parking lot. Guests stay in one of eight rooms and enjoy authentic Alaskan hospitality, plus a home-cooked to order breakfast each morning. It’s a traditional bed and breakfast with many personal and special touches.

Access to Denali

Open year-round, the 7,200-square-foot Denali Dome Home B&B is located in Healy — close to Denali National Park, but far from the summer congestion near the park entrance. Moose regularly wander through the property.

Longtime Resident Hosts

For owners Ann and Terry Miller, the B&B has long been a labor of love; 2026 marks their 37th year in the business, which they now manage with their son, Bart. As year-round Alaskan residents, the Millers know Alaska, Denali National Park, and the Denali area, and are happy to share keen insights and timely personal tips with guests so they can make the most of their vacation in Denali.

Inside the Dome Home

Inside the architectural gem, guests will find a light-filled home with large windows, several communal areas for gathering, and a large rock fireplace built by the Miller family, along with DVD and book libraries.

Outside, guests can relax on the decks, lawns, and gardens and keep an eye out for visiting moose.

Each day starts with a delicious cooked-to-order breakfast of eggs, fruit plate, varied meat plate, waffles, and pancakes in the family’s dining room. Coffee or tea are available at any time. Guests can chat with the Millers about what they would like to do that day and benefit from the hosts’ expert advice. Breakfast is served family style in their large dining room.

Activities are easy to book through the Millers: railroad tickets, flightseeing, glacier landings, private hikes, dog kennel tours, SHERP ATV tours, and more. Guests can borrow powerful binoculars, bear spray, hiking poles, coolers, and day packs for their adventures.

Additionally, the owners have a car-rental business called Keys to Denali, offering sedans, SUVs, and 12-passenger vans, making it easy to explore the Denali area.

Rooms and Amenities

Each of the eight guest rooms offers a unique look and distinctive touches, but all include either a king- or queen-size bed (some have an additional twin bed), private bathroom with heated tile floors, a small refrigerator, TV and DVD player, Wi-Fi, robes, hair dryer, and seating areas.

Two bedrooms come with a single-person whirlpool combination tub; another bedroom has a dry sauna and beautiful shower.

Groups

Combined with their two nearby vacation rentals, the Millers can accommodate large groups of up to 36 people.
