Venus Mines Mill (mi 53.5)

The mill was built in 1908 to ease the high cost of shipping silver ore out of the territory. Gravity pulled a line of buckets filled with ore down an aerial tramway cable from the mine above to the mill below. The ore was then processed and packaged for shipping. The mill did not operate after 1920, but during peak production it produced 10 tons of silver ore concentrate per day.
