From the Resurrection Pass South Trailhead, hike 7 miles to spur trail, then continue another half-mile to the cabin. Or via floatplane (30 minutes from Moose Pass, 15 minutes from Coopers Landing).
The cabin is surrounded by a willow, spruce and birch forest and open brushy areas.
This is a hot spot for boating and fishing for rainbow trout and whitefish in Trout Lake. A rowboat with oars is provided at the cabin. In season, you can hunt for moose, black and brown bears and wolves in the surrounding forest.
