This hike does not require crossing any glaciers or dangerous streams, which makes for a good overnight hike for those who carry an overnight camping permit. Wildlife may be seen all along the trail, often there are grizzly bears, wolves and caribou. Sheep are seen on the high mountains and the trail leads to fantastic vistas. If camping overnight, be aware of the high night winds.
