Get up close and personal with the stunningly beautiful glaciers of Prince William Sound or angle for the area’s abundant salmon when you travel with Sound Adventure Charters. The single-group, fully customizable sailings are ideal for adventure seekers and great for families with kids of all ages.

You’ll be aboard the Veronica Mae, a 38-foot former commercial fishing boat from Kodiak that’s now a comfy vessel, complete with warm cabin, to take in the incredible scenery. The boat even has some of the old rigging on it, imbuing it with the charm of an Alaskan fishing village. And with a maximum of 6 passengers and a minimum of 4, you’ll be assured that your group will have an intimate experience.

Along the way, you’ll be keeping an eye out for a wide variety of wildlife, that might include sea otters, harbor seals, orcas, whales, puffins, bald eagles, Dall porpoise, and even the occasional bear.

You’ll also enjoy a delicious lunch by the glacier. Thanks to a full galley, owners Ginger and Jake will personally prepare a customized meal, which may include items like moose sausage, salmon burgers, pasta, and quinoa salad, plus desserts and snacks for the ride there and back.

This is the first year of operation for Sound Adventure Charters, but Ginger and Jake are longtime pros in the boating, tourism, and fishing businesses. They’re passionate and knowledgeable about the Prince William Sound area and will fill you in on everything there is to know about the glaciers and wildlife.

Glacier Trips

Spend an unforgettable 6–7 hours on the water as you travel to Blackstone Bay and get right up next to the gorgeous shimmering glaciers. Enjoy a delicious lunch while you take in the incredible views around you.

Backcountry Ski Trips

Take a boat ride out of Whittier and be dropped off to enjoy amazing, guided or un-guided, day or multi-day, remote backcountry skiing in the Prince William Sound. The boat will come back to pick you up when you’re done if you book a cabin rental, otherwise they will stay on premises until your skiing adventure concludes.
