Stream Violet

Stream Violets are common in forest edges and along streams and roads. One of the first plants to bloom in the spring, this plant has stems 5-12" and heart shaped leaves that are sharply pointed at the tip. The 5 petaled yellow flowers are 1.5cm long and the 3 lower petals have purple-brown lines.
