Great Blue Heron

A large bird that is usually found close to the shore, Great Blue Herons are a common sight throughout the US. They sport a long, S-shaped neck that they are often seen stuffing with fish and little rodents. Individuals have been known to choke to death trying to swallow meals that are too large.
