This moderate, 2-mile loop starts on First Avenue heading west. Turn left on Main Street and follow the sidewalk past the airport terminal to the footbridge across the Skagway River. Once across, turn left and follow an exercise trail toward Lynn Canal where it descends rock steps. Turning right at the third set of rock stairs leads to a grassy, tidal inlet once reportedly used by rumrunners during the Prohibition. Walk up a dirt road and turn right where it splits, returning to the exercise trail.
