This amazing adventure combines two wilderness lodges, fine cuisine, a float plane ride, heli-glacier tour and guided river fishing – all within a convenient 100-mile radius of Anchorage! This all-inclusive, guided, and fully outfitted trip is designed for groups of 2-4. *Packages are available from 2 – 4 nights. Itinerary below shows 2 night. The 3- and 4-night trips include a fly-out to the Pioneer Cabin Outpost with a guided 6-mile fishing float trip.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Overnight at Wilderness Place Lodge
Begin your adventure with a scenic 45-minute float plane flight departing Anchorage's renowned Lake Hood seaplane base at 11am. Arrive at Wilderness Place Lodge in time for lunch provided by the professional chef team of 3. Enjoy the afternoon on the water with fully guided, outfitted fishing for salmon, trout or northern pike. A four-course dinner service is in the main lodge each evening. Overnight in a private deluxe guest cabin. Wilderness Place Lodge is a highly reviewed all-inclusive fishing lodge featuring a courteous staff of 18 that hosts an average number of 15 guests.
Day 2 - Return to Anchorage
You’ll depart Wilderness Place for Anchorage by float plane in time to meet your shuttle to the Knik River Lodge, approximately 1-hour North. The Knik River Lodge is a high-quality wilderness lodge at the end of the road within the scenic Knik River Valley. Here you will meet your Helicopter guide and embark on a once-in-a-lifetime Heli-Glacier experience into one of the most impressive glacial icefields in all of Alaska. Your tour includes a glacial landing and an optional glacier dog sledding. Following your heli-tour, wine and dine at the renowned Raven’s Perch Restaurant prior to checking into your private cabin for the night. Enjoy a leisurely morning on your final day with complimentary breakfast and shuttle back to Anchorage. (If you will have your own car for transport to/from Knik River Lodge, a discount will be applied.)
