Located 2.7 miles north of Haines on Lutak Road, this rocky beach offers a great spot for picnics, with ample parking, barbecue pits, picnic tables and a restroom on site. State ferries pass by here at close range. The spot also attracts pink salmon fishermen in late summer. Historic uses of this spot include a Native fish camp and a Cold War fuel tank farm that pumped fuel from here to Fairbanks, via an 800-mile pipeline. Avoid during strong south winds
