Don't let the strip-mall locale fool you: This is one of the best restaurants to open in Anchorage in years. No matter which side of the open kitchen you sit on (either the "restaurant" side or the casual "bistro") side, you can enjoy the 200-plus wine list, excellent salads and wide selection of entrees, such as Kodiak scallops, fresh troll caught King salmon, and Scandinavian duck. Save room for the creative, beautifully plated desserts, such as the chocolate terrine with pistachios and sea salt.
Open Tue – Thu, from 11:30am to 10pm; Fri – Sat, 11:30am to 11pm; closed Sun and Mon.
Price range $8-$15 for lunch and $18-$30 for dinner.
