What To Bring
Fuel for the oil heater (#1 stove oil or kerosene only), sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher, fire starter and rubber boots. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
14ft or higher tide generally required to cross Stikine River tideflats. Local knowledge of river conditions and experience operating shallow draft boats may allow crossing tideflats on smaller tides. Occasionally poor weather can result in extended stays; users should be prepared for this.
