A unique amenity-filled resort on the banks of Resurrection Bay, RipTide RV Resort in Seward features private access to shore surrounded by stunning water and mountain views, making it ideal for anglers as well as anyone looking for a relaxing retreat. The property is located between Resurrection River to the West, Sawmill Creek to the East and Resurrection Bay to the South. Riptide RV Resort is also a birders paradise with dozens of species that reside in the forests and tidelands and bald eagles are literally everywhere.
You’ll find full hookups for 22 RVs, and 45 sites with electric and plenty of dry sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. 5 new luxury cabins are also available. Also on property are a convenience store, spa, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, public restrooms with showers, play areas for children, dog park. and shared outdoor spaces.
There’s also self-guided check-in and checkout. Staff are available to help 24/7, and the owners’ daughter, Alaina, is on-site full-time.
One of the resort’s most unique features, however, is the ability to cast a line for fish right from shore. Since it’s one of the few places in the area where you can do that, the resort has become a popular place to stay—even for locals. Riptide is the only private access at the mouth of Resurrection River where the first chance to catch sockeye salmon in the spring takes place.
Because of its popularity with anglers, the resort is often sold out well in advance during peak fishing season (mid May through mid-July), and guests stay for multiple nights. For now, the resort is open just for the summer season, though they plan to be open year-round starting in 2027. Also in the future, keep an eye out for fun new additions like ATV rentals.
