Meares Glacier Campsite

This is a true jewel at the end of Unakwik Inlet. Located just Northwest of Meares Glacier, this steep, sandy beach is about as close as a kayak dares to paddle towards an active tidewater glacier. Large, durable camping spots well above high tide, a trail to the glacier front, and freshwater make this spot a destination worth the distance. Not many kayakers make the trip up Unakwik, but those that do don't regret it.
