Access

39 air miles (63 km) from Petersburg or 13 water miles (21 km) from Kake. Requires 18ft tide or 2-mile (3 km) walk over mud flat.

Grassy tidal flat and low elevation old growth forest.

Special Features

Spectacular scenery. Bear, waterfowl hunting. Steelhead, coho and pink salmon, dolly varden and cutthroat trout fishing in Kadake Creek.

#1 diesel fuel, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, cooking stove, lantern, pots, pans, plates, utensils, food, toilet paper, garbage bags, fire extinguisher and fire starter. Firewood generally provided, but not guaranteed. It's a good idea to bring your own water.
