Elbridge Truman Barnett came to Alaska in the late 1890s like so many others did —looking for the gold during the Klondike Gold Rush. He later ended up in Fairbanks, where he became a riverboat captain and operated Barnett’s Trading Post. Eventually, he became the first Mayor of Fairbanks.

This pass is named after his wife, Isabel
