Enjoy your own private log cabin in the wilderness, with all the modern conveniences, just an hour north of Anchorage and minutes from Wasilla and Palmer. Nestled at the entrance to Hatcher Pass in the Talkeetna Mountains, your cozy log cabin makes an ideal base camp for all your Alaskan adventures!
From the front porch of your log cabin, you can relax with your morning coffee and then stay up late to watch the twilight of an Alaskan sunset. Use the grill to cook your freshly caught fish or roast marshmallows over the fire pit. All cabins also have on-demand hot water, free Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee, and a TV/DVD.
You’ll find two different types of cabins
These chalet-style log cabins are ideal for families or a group of friends. Two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a full kitchen mean that up to six guests can sleep comfortably. There’s one queen bed in the main floor bedroom and one queen and one double bed in the upstairs loft bedroom. And the kitchen is fully stocked with all the necessary kitchenware and appliances.
These are the perfect log cabins for a couple looking to get away, though they can sleep up to four people. Each has one queen bed, a futon or bunk bed, one bathroom, and a fully stocked kitchenette.
And at Hatcher Pass Cabins, adventure is right outside your door—you’ll find miles of trails for hiking, biking, and skiing just minutes from your cabin. Check out the mining history of Hatcher Pass while visiting Independence Mine State Park, and along the way, don’t forget to watch for wildlife and look for berries!
Your hosts Natalie and Jeff have been playing in Hatcher Pass and throughout the Mat-Su Valley for years, so they’re full of insider advice where to go and what to do. Plus, they’ve worked and traveled across much of the state, so they can help guide you on all your Alaskan travels!
