Nalu means “wave” in Hawaiian, and the Glacier Nalu Campground Resort combines the stunning scenery of Alaska with the relaxed atmosphere of Hawaii. Set on 12.5 private acres surrounded by towering spruce trees with a creek winding through the property, Glacier Nalu offers a variety of unique accommodation options for RV travelers, tent campers, glampers, and guests seeking modern tiny-home comfort. It’s the perfect setting for couples or families looking to experience the best of outdoor living.

Each RV site or Tiny Home offers plenty of room for a vehicle. The campground features a wide range of amenities including restrooms, hot showers, coin-operated laundry, complimentary Wi-Fi, common areas with gazebos and propane fire pits, and access to our new sauna. You may even cross paths with friendly seasonal residents—ferry captains, helicopter pilots, and other locals who call Glacier Nalu home during Alaska’s summer months.

Located just a few miles from the ferry terminal and the airport, Glacier Nalu is about 10 miles from downtown Juneau and 3 miles from the Mendenhall Visitor Center. It’s also easy to access the West Glacier Trailhead, for great hiking, or Montana Creek, where you’ll find amazing fly fishing. Or ask the office staff to help you book local activities like kayaking, bear-viewing, or glacier tours.

Lodging Options

RV Sites: Back-in sites with full hookups and 30-amp service. Water, sewer, and electric included, Free Wi-Fi, Pet friendly

Deluxe Tent Sites: Private site with a covered gazebo, fire pit, picnic table, and onsite parking, access to restrooms, showers, free Wi-Fi.

Elevated Glamping: Canvas tent on an elevated platform, 12x12 ft. in size with an 8 ft. ceiling height. Each site includes queen size mattress with bedding, sleeping quilts and pads, two camp chairs, small cooler for storing food and drinks, one parking space, access to free Wi-Fi, water, electricity (for device charging), a shared outdoor camp kitchen with cook stove, and a shared food cache. Guests should bring their own cookware and food supplies.

Tiny Home Vacation Rentals: Modern, fully furnished tiny homes perfect for travelers wanting comfort and nature in one place.

• Dyea –a cozy, one-bedroom tiny home with a beautifully finished interior, compact kitchenette, comfortable bedroom loft, and private bathroom. Accommodates up to 2 people.
• Tenakee – a two-bedroom tiny home with a spacious getaway featuring a queen loft, full loft, full kitchen, and a cozy bathroom with a soaking tub. Accommodates up to 4 people.
