Fish for Salmon, Halibut & More

On the water you’ll fish for salmon, Halibut, rock fish, and ling cod. Fish for king salmon from mid-June to mid-July, then silvers from the end of July through September. Salmon Falls can help with shipping your fish home, as the quintessential souvenir of Alaska.

You’ll head out on 30-foot boats with room for up to six guests that feature a heated area, enclosed cabins, and stereo systems for listening to music while angling. Snack boxes with chips and candy are included, along with soda, water, and all rain gear (bibs, jacket, and boots). The included lunch might be a roast beef sandwich, bagel and lox, salad, charcuterie board, or PB&J.

Choose Full Day or Half-Day Charters

Choose a full-day trip that starts around 7 a.m. and includes 8 to 9 hours of fishing, or a half-day trip, which includes 4 to 5 hours of fishing—it’s ideal for those arriving by cruise ship. Those staying in Ketchikan can arrange for a hotel pickup by boat, or opt for a scenic van ride along the Tongass Highway.
