Power your own ATV on a small-group tour through the Goldstream Valley in Fairbanks, Alaska. Each group has a dedicated local guide, all gear is included, and no experience is necessary (though a driver's license is).
Creeks to Peaks ATV Tour
You’ll start by meeting in a rustic, dry cabin, around 10 miles north from downtown Fairbanks, where you’ll meet the team and get fitted with all gear: buff/handkerchiefs, riding gloves, helmet, goggles. After an introduction to the machine—a single-driver Yamaha Kodiak ATV—you’ll set off.
For the next 2 hours, you’ll cruise over 20-30 miles, starting in a low valley with some fun, splashy creek crossings. Then gain 1,100 feet in elevation as you explore stands of birch and aspen groves, and then alpine and subalpine high country with open, panoramic vistas. Along the way, you’ll pass the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, stopping to take photos and hear about the history and development of this engineering marvel.
About Fairbanks Snow Sleighers
Snow Sleighers was founded in 2015 by Brian and Jeremy, two fishy friends who met while working on Yukon River salmon conservation projects with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. In the winters, while the rivers were frozen and the salmon were away, they both got hooked on the thrill of snowmobiling and developed a passion for guiding. Today, they bring a deep local knowledge, a background in fisheries and wildlife science, and a genuine enthusiasm for Alaska’s winter landscape to all of their tours.
