Sail the Alaskan waters in luxury aboard the custom-made, 50-foot Mikelson Sportfish yacht 'Sir Reel,' complete with a massive fishing deck

Hit the fish-rich waters of Alaska on this unforgettable fishing charter aboard a private yacht. Head out from Juneau for a multi-day expedition that’s perfect for everyone from beginners to hardcore anglers, as well as anyone who wants to join the adventure!

Aboard the Sir Reel

You’ll sail from Juneau on a custom-made, 50-foot Mikelson Sportfish yacht (named, Sir Reel) with a massive back fishing deck; there’s also an extended fly bridge that’s entirely enclosed. Using top-of-the-line equipment, you’ll fish for halibut, rockfish, lingcod, and salmon. You can even go after crab and shrimp. And you’ll cover lots of ground, roughly 150 in total. The yacht travels at 10 knots, giving you ample time to watch the abundant natural wildlife the coastal waters of Alaska have to offer.

Dine on the fish you catch, or take advantage of the commercial vacuum sealer and freezer to ship your fish home!

Choose Your Room

Accommodations will be in one of the yacht’s 3 cozy cabins. The Master Cabin has a queen-size bed and an attached head with a shower and bathtub. The Starboard Cabin has a queen-size bed with a single bunk above. The Port Cabin is smaller and can sleep 1–2 people. A second head with a shower is available for guests not staying in the Master Stateroom.

The yacht also features a 13-foot center console Zodiac, which is perfect for going ashore to enjoy hiking or beachcombing when you’re not fishing. Or take out one of the kayaks. There’s even a washer/dryer!
