Typically black or dark grey with either a grey or white cape, the Short-finned Pilot Whale is further differentiated by grey or white stripes that extend diagonally up from behind their eyes. They can reach 4 tons as adults and are identifiable by a snub nose that makes them appear as though they ran into a brick wall at high speed.
