Exploring Anchorage on a bike is an affordable, independent, year-round outdoor activity. During summer, unless you need a unique bike in limited supply, no reservations are needed. We have more than 200 well-maintained bikes of all types. Rates start at just $16 for 3 hours. Click here for photos and specs of each bike.
During winter reservations are a good idea (especially on weekends) because we currently have just 9 Fat bikes, 5 Plus bikes, and 3 E Bikes rent. Each have studded tires. There is no deposit to reserve. It costs only $25 to rent a fat bike for the day. Click here for photos and specs of each one and for information on how to reserve.
No guide or tour is needed to ride/enjoy nearby year-round trails. In town: Coastal Trail, Kincaid Park Singletrack Trails, Bicentennial Park/Hillside Trails, Powerline Trail at Glen Alps. Out of town: Knik Glacier and Spencer Glacier are "an otherwordly glacial landscape just an hour's drive from Alaska's largest city." Anchorage Daily News, April 2, 2017. Bike racks for cars rent for $5 per day.
