Otter Beach Lodges makes for an intimate Alaskan stay. Just 17 luxury units make up this property in Homer, offering plenty of privacy and featuring stunning water and mountain views. Its easy-to-reach location at the end of the Homer Spit affords even more privacy and wider views out to otters, eagles, and other area wildlife. There’s a two-night minimum, but it’s easy to see why most guests stay longer.
Plus, the property is within walking distance of Homer’s great restaurants, as well as its art galleries and shops. (Hint: pick up some marshmallows and use of the fire rings on the beach to roast them over a fire.) It’s also close to the docks—perfect for those leaving on early-morning fishing charter trips or when taking water taxis to Halibut Cove or Seldovia.
Each is unique, yet all offer a modern feel with some very Alaskan touches—including, of course, the amazing view right outside your room.

The 9 larger upstairs lodges, great for groups and families, come full of luxurious amenities like full kitchens, gas fireplaces, huge windows, laundry facilities and decks with comfortable furniture—perfect for taking in the panoramic views. Some even have Jacuzzi tubs and features like vaulted ceilings. Rooms range from one- to three-bedroom units, and some have sleeper sofas.
