Cordova is a small, coastal town surrounded by glacier-carved mountains, nestled at the head of Orca Inlet in Eastern Prince William Sound. The area dazzles you with wildlife-rich wetlands, lush forests, and countless waterways.

This blending of natural grandeur with exciting activities such as hiking, wildlife photography, boating, sport fishing, flightseeing, and more, makes Cordova an ultimate Alaskan destination.

A cannery town originally built in the 1880's, the Orca Adventure Lodge has recently been rebuilt into Alaska's finest adventure destination. While retaining its historical flavor, the Orca Adventure Lodge has full amenities to offer the most discerning guest.

Each of the forty rooms have private baths and great ocean views overlooking Orca Inlet.

The on-site "Lodge Style" eatery serves a hot breakfast, 7 days a week as well as dinner entrees highlighting fresh caught local sea foods, pastas, and soups. There is something different every day of the week and the cafe is reserved for guests only. A packed lunch is available on request to take on daily adventures.

Your Adventure Package includes: Lodging, all meals, use of kayaks, any fishing gear for non-guided trips, and a shuttle from the airport or ferry if needed.

The Sheridan Glacier, only 15 miles from the Lodge, is one of the most accessible glaciers in the State of Alaska due to the access road off the Copper River Highway.

A short hike throigh a spruce-hemlock forest and you are presented with a commanding view of the Sheridan and Sherman Glaciers. Following a .7 mile cobbled trail, surrounded by alders and wildflowers, you soon arrive at the icy face. Hike through the moraine and you find yourself standing upon the ancient ice of this majestic glacier. The terrain before you is an ever changing topography of glacial lakes, crystal blue caves and sudden jagged crevasses.

Along with hiking out onto the moraine at the end of the cobble path leading from the parking area, your guide will outfit you with single or double kayaks so you can explore the southern and eastern portions of Sheridan Lake. The intimate vantage point of a kayak really creates a once in a lifetime experience that is not to be missed. One you've worked up an appetite, we'll stop for a picnic lunch on small island exposed by glacial retreat or find a remote area of the glacier to take a break and enjoy the stunning landscape.

Bring the camera for this outing! Only a few minutes after departing from the lodge you will embark on a panoramic journey of the Orca Inlet.

Viewing the highest concentration of Sea Otters in the world is one of the highlights of this tour. Our safe, modern vessels make this an all-weather tour and a fun outing for the entire family. There are an estimated 12,000 sea otters within 25 miles of the lodge.
