How long should I spend in Seward? |

If you have one day you could explore Exit Glacier, do a half-day Kenai Fjords cruise tour, and walk around town. Check out the Seward Museum, the library, and the Alaska SeaLife Center. |

If you have two days it's possible to explore Exit Glacier, do a half-day Kenai Fjords cruise tour, and walk around town in one day, but it's best spread out over two. Start with the Kenai Fjords tour, the museum, and library on day one. One your second day, you could do the SeaLife Center in the morning, and hit Exit Glacier on the way out of town.

If you want to add other tours-fishing, sea kayaking, helicopter flightseeing, dog mushing-or do a full-day fjords tour, you'll just have to add more days. Two nights allows you to get a good taste of what the area has to offer.

Local expert Liz Pollock says, "I recommend at least two days in Seward for checking out the area and being able to do some of the tours available here. I consider this an exploration trip. On your next trip, you will know how long you really want to stay here. Ok, maybe you can't move here permanently, but at least you can visit us!" |
