For
those planning a kayaking journey
into Prince William Sound, Honey
Charters and their custom-designed
boats can drop you and your kayaks
off—and pick you up—from
one of their recommended beaches.
It’s perfect for groups,
as two of their boats can handle
up to 18 kayaks and more than
20 people at once. They can direct
you to kayak rental outfitters
and give you tips on everything
you need to bring. Then get ready
to paddle as they’ll drive
you out to a beach where you
can safely unload, camp, and
kayak anywhere from one day to
a few weeks. Honey Charters recommends
that all customers practice the ‘Leave
No Trace’ program when
kayaking and camping.
With
3,000 miles of shoreline, tons
of wildlife, and glaciers everywhere
you turn, Prince William Sound
is an adventurer’s
paradise. With the serrated peaks
of the Chugach Mountains behind
you, you can paddle up to an
immense tidewater glacier. And
of course, keep an eye out for
the creatures that walk the shores
and swim in the sea: orcas, humpback
whales, sea lions, puffins, seals,
sea otters, eagles, goats, and
bears.
Alaskan family-owned
Honey Charters knows this territory
well. They’ve
been in the business for 18 years,
so they know what beaches are best
suited to a kayaker’s
experience level and trip length within
1 to 2.5 hours of Whittier. Get their
advice on location and weather patterns,
then load up your kayaks and you’ll
be on your way to a secluded and safe
beach that’s
perfect for paddling. You can choose
to charter their service round-trip,
one-way and paddle back, or vice versa.
Honey Charters
also offers a variety of private
and personalized glacier and wildlife
cruises, from a three-hour cruise
to Blackstone Glacier to a six-hour
cruise of Barry Arm Glacier or Columbia
Glacier.
