Nestled inside Seward city limits, Two Lakes Trail is easily accessible and not very difficult (well suited for even the most reluctant hiker). The area is at the base of Mount Marathon where the city borders the wilderness, with classic spruce and hemlock rainforests found on the eastern side of the Kenai Peninsula. As you make your way around the trail, look for salmon in First Lake.

The trail loops around both of the small lakes (named First and Second Lake) and returns back to the parking area. The trailhead also offers a nice lakeside picnic area near the parking lot.
