Denali Outdoor Center offers economy cabin rentals and secluded camping on the shores of Otto Lake in Healy, Alaska. Their private 30 acre property is just far enough off the beaten path to find a real sense of Alaskan tranquility. However, they are located only 2 miles south of Healy and 10 miles north of the Denali National Park entrance. So, while the cabins and campsites provide one of the most peaceful experiences and spectacular views outside of the park itself, amenities are merely minutes away.
Otto Lake is locally known as the “hidden gem” of Healy and is host to abundant birdlife, especially during spring and fall seasons. Guests can rent either canoes or kayaks to explore the hidden coves at the base of Mt. Healy. There are also mountain bike rentals and tours available to ride the numerous trails in and around the Healy area. D.O.C. also offers guided whitewater rafting and kayaking adventures from their headquarters at Otto Lake. Other local activities on Otto Lake Road include: golfing, ATV tours, jeep tours and wagon rides. You will also find good restaurants in the area and a brew pub close-by.
There are 4 lakeside cabins available for rent, they are non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
There are 15 sites that will accommodate RV's up to 35 ft, 30 tent sites, and 5 group sites with enough space to set up 6 to 8 tents. There are no hook-ups, but potable water is available.
