The CoHo Beach House offers panoramic views of the Tongass Narrows, its waters lapping against the rocky Southeast Alaskan shore. Bald eagles and ravens soar overhead, catching the wind under their strong wings. Out in the Narrows, pods of orcas and humpback whales come and go, sometimes surfacing just beyond the closest sea wall.
Enjoy Views From the Shore, Or on the Water
The beach house’s deck is the perfect place to take in all the action. If you want to get an even better view, two on-site sea kayaks let see the Narrows up close. Inside, the beach house is nothing but comfortable and homey. The large picture windows let light stream easily into the living room and two guest bedrooms. And a fully equipped kitchen is available, perfect for cooking up that fresh-caught wild Alaskan salmon.
The local Alaskan owners, the Hooks and the Odells, have been friends for more than 40 years. They bought the property in 2004 and rebuilt the beach house to become the beautiful guesthouse it is today.
With its convenient location (halfway between town and Ketchikan’s best hiking trails), comfortable yet classy atmosphere, and views of the gorgeous Tongass Narrows, the CoHo Beach House is extremely popular. So book as early as possible. It’s great as a destination for families, a romantic retreat for honeymooners, or a home base for fishing trips.
