The waters of Cavern Lake trickle through rock and emerge through a cave below, where the Forest Service has developed a trail and viewing area. The cave extends only about 150 feet and it requires wading, but it offers a dramatic example of karst geology and a safe look inside. During the fall, a viewing platform here offers visitors a view of leaping coho salmon. A short trail leads upstream of the cave.
